We are now thrilled to now support Cronos zkEVM, the first layer-2 ZK chain besides ZKsync Era, is live on mainnet.

SubQuery’s indexing capabilities empower blockchain developers building on Cronos zkEVM to manage and query on-chain data efficiently, speeding up development and iterations, and enhancing the security of on-chain finance with Bitcoin.

Developers building on Cronos zkEVM can now harness SubQuery’s versatile, high-speed, open, and decentralised data indexing solution. This empowers blockchain developers with crucial tools to efficiently manage and query on-chain data for their protocols and applications.

Developer Use Cases

  1. How can we leverage SubQuery to enhance liquidity aggregation for a Cross-Chain DeFi Aggregator?

Developers can use SubQuery to aggregate liquidity and services from Ethereum and Cosmos ecosystems on Cronos, enabling users to access cross-chain DeFi products like lending, swaps, and staking from one unified platform.

  1. How can we use SubQuery to enable NFTs as loan collateral on our DeFi platform?

By indexing data from NFT marketplaces and DeFi protocols, SubQuery can help developers create a platform that allows NFTs to be used as collateral for loans, taking advantage of Cronos’ integration with these services.

  1. How can we build a Cosmos-enhanced GameFi platform using SubQuery?

Developers can empower their GameFi platform with real-time P2E (play-to-earn) gaming and NFT collectibles by leveraging Cosmos’ cross-chain capabilities and Cronos’ low fees, with SubQuery providing essential data indexing.

  1. How can we tokenize real-world assets and enable cross-chain transfers using SubQuery?

SubQuery can assist developers in tokenizing assets such as real estate or luxury goods on Cronos, enabling cross-chain transfers and integrating with Cosmos for decentralised governance and efficient asset management.

Therefore, SubQuery simplifies the intricacies of backend operations, providing developers with a tailor-made API. This enables them to focus on product development and enhancing user experiences, without the need to allocate resources towards constructing their indexing solutions.

> “We’re excited to announce our partnership with SubQuery Network! SubQuery is super easy to use, even if you’re not a tech expert. It’s been a huge time-saver for us, letting us focus on building instead of worrying about data!”

— Ken Timsit, Head, Cronos Labs

We’re always striving to provide developers with the most comprehensive and efficient indexing experience possible, including the open-source SDK, tools, documentation, and developer support that the SubQuery ecosystem provides. Cronos zkEVM is also supported in SubQuery’s enterprise level managed service, which provides enterprise-level infrastructure hosting and handles hundreds of millions of requests each day.

Furthermore, with the upcoming launch of the SubQuery Network, we are poised to provide Cronos zkEVM developers with their first ever decentralised indexing solution.

> “We are excited to support the newly launched Cronos zkEVM and we believe this integration will open up exciting opportunities and we can’t wait to see what dApps developers on Cronos zkEVM build with our fast, flexible, and open indexing technology!”

— Sam Zou, Founder and CEO of SubQuery

Why Use SubQuery?

SubQuery makes it easy to build a custom API for your dApp or smart contracts in minutes, providing clean indexed data to any service. The excellent SubQuery developer experience is flexible, with the ability to make external API calls or import external libraries from within your mapping functions, and better controls to run your projects in your own infrastructure with automated DOS (denial of service) mitigation controls. Additionally, we have yet to make plans to sunset our managed service.

SubQuery is designed to be fast. This adds up when you’re indexing millions of ledgers, and is something to consider when choosing your indexer. SubQuery achieves this by using multi-threading and optimisation of the store to reduce costly database writes. With faster sync times, developers can iterate faster and deliver features to market quicker.

SubQuery’s Support for Cronos zkEVM

About Cronos zkEVM

Cronos zkEVM is a layer-2 blockchain on top of Ethereum, powered by ZKsync technology. Its testnet, launched in December 2023, has seen more than 3 million unique addresses processing millions of transactions. The network is now on mainnet.

Cronos zkEVM is the latest network of the Cronos project, a leading blockchain ecosystem that has partnered with Crypto.com and more than 500 application developers and contributors representing an addressable user base of more than a hundred million people around the world. Cronos’ mission is to make it easy and safe for the next billion crypto users to adopt self-custody in Web3, with a focus on Decentralized Finance and Gaming.
