November was an extraordinary month of progress, innovation, and meaningful connections for our team. We continued our relentless focus on building, while also making a strong impact on the networking front. A standout moment was our participation in DevCon 2024 in Bangkok, where we took centre stage to lead a workshop and also serve as one of the judges at the Polkadot hackathon. This massive event not only showcased our expertise but also opened doors to exciting new partnerships and collaborations, further expanding our growing ecosystem

Adding to the excitement, we proudly unveiled our cutting-edge AI App Framework — an innovation that has been a major highlight of the month and promises to redefine how AI integrates with Web3 technologies.

Now, let’s dive into the details of everything that happened in November!

The SubQuery AI App Framework

In November, we launched the first version of our SubQuery AI App Framework — a groundbreaking developer SDK. This framework enables you to build, deploy, and run scalable, self-contained AI apps in a trusted, decentralised environment on the SubQuery Network.

SubQuery’s AI App Framework is a powerful but intuitive SDK to help you build advanced AI applications in minutes. It’s built on typescript and is extremely easy to use, essentially simplifying most of the backend tasks required to customise and integrate LLM models into production usecases.

We just skyrocketed to 271 supported networks — proof that we’re taking things to the next level! 😱

We are relentlessly building and proudly offer one of the the largest network support for data indexing in Web3 — setting a standard that no competitor can even come close to matching!

Among the new chains recently added:

Here are some of the feedback we’ve received from our new partners:

> “SubQuery’s integration enables builders on peaq to access data faster and more efficiently, empowering them to innovate within its expanding DePIN ecosystem. SubQuery adds another helpful tool further expanding peaq’s transparency and flexibility, wich are crucial for its mission of powering the Machine Economy — the future of decentralised infrastructure.”

— Leonard Dorlöchter, Co-founder of peaq

“SubQuery equips developers with fast, efficient data access, simplifying the development process and offering an intuitive and reliable indexing solution.”

- Alessandro De Carli, Co-Founder, Acurast

DevCon 2024

DevCon 2024 showcased the best of the Web3 community, drawing thousands of developers and builders eager to shape the future of blockchain technology.

The SubQuery team proudly participated in multiple key events during the week such as the Multi-Chain Indexing Workshop at Sub0 Reset (see pic below).

We were also one of the judges for the OneBlock Polkadot Hackathon, engaging with innovative projects that highlight the creative potential of Web3 developers.

Beyond the excitement of DevCon 2024, we seized the opportunity to connect face-to-face with some of our key partners and customers, strengthening relationships that are central to our success. Among these valued collaborators was the Humanode team, one of our longest-standing and most dedicated customers. Our discussions highlighted the incredible progress we’ve made together and the shared vision we continue to pursue.

Marta (SubQuery Head of Business Development) and Ameni (SubQuery Business Development Manager) with Victor, the Co-Founder of Humanode.

To celebrate our partnership and showcase their inspiring journey, we also filmed a customer interview that captures their story and the impact of our collaboration. You can watch the full interview here.

New Updates to SubQuery

There are a number of new improvements to the SubQuery Network over the past month, we’re putting particular focus into Node Operator usability here.

Firstly, when viewing a project we now show the number of queries for each project over the past 1 day. This allows Node Operators to check the number of queries over time for each project, and compare project popularity to help them decide what they want to index.

You can now see the flex plan price for each node operator when viewing a project. This might help you better set your own price to match the market price. Remember for RPC requests, you generally receive more requests the lower your price is, and therefore more rewards. Additionally, we have introduced a ‘Queries by Price’ chart on the project detail page, allowing Node Operators to optimize their pricing based on market demand.

We have added location information for Node Operators on both the Node Operator detail page and the project detail page. This will help users understand where current Node Operators are running their services.

Node Operators should configure a metrics endpoint for their RPCs in the updated Node Operator Admin App. It is recommended to enable the metrics port for the RPC node. In the future, we plan to prioritise closed agreements with high-quality indexers that operate nodes with metrics exposed. Find out how.

We have added Node Operator information to the detail page to help others learn more about you as a Node Operator, enabling them to make informed decisions on whom to delegate their resources.

We have introduced a new feature that allows Node Operators to review the specific reasons for Burnt Rewards. This feature enables Node Operators to identify the root causes of errors associated with each deployment, providing valuable insights into the issues affecting their operations.

Finally, we take security seriously, so there are now warnings when clicking on external links to help protect users in the SubQuery Network from scams.
